The Buenos Aires based band is lead by pianist and composer Cirilo Fernandez and features Nicolas Sorin (Octafonic) on keys and vocals, Sebastian Lans (Huevo) on guitar, Mariano Sivori (Escalandrum) on bass and Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla on drums.

Fernandez 4’s music is a mix of jazz, soul pop, rock and electronica, played with an instrumentation , more likely to be associated to a jazz group.

The idea of the band is to make essentially complex music sound accessible and reach a wider audience , beyond your usual jazz fans.

They made two albums thus far:

“No Fear” their debut album, which has been nominated for best Jazz album at the Gardel awards 2015 in Argentina.

“Mute” their second album released in december 2016 , is awarded Jazz album of the year at the Gardel awards 2017

The band is invited to participate at various international venues like the Java Jazz fest in Indonesia, and the Cairo Jazz fest in Egypt. They tour through Norway in 2013 as well as Argentina, visiting Corrientes, Rosario and Cordoba, the main city’s besides Buenos Aires, where the band played the BA Jazz Fest 2015 and closing the Blackbird Jazz festival of Bahia Blanca

El grupo esta liderado por Cirilo Fernández en piano y composición, y tiene a Nicolás Sorin (Octafonic) en voz y teclados , Sebastian Lans (Huevo) en Guitarra, Mariano Sivori (Escalandrum) en Contrabajo , Daniel Pipi Piazzolla (Escalandrum) en Bateria.

La música de Fernández 4 oscila entre el rock, el pop, el soul y la electrónica pero con la instrumentación y la improvisación propias del jazz. La idea del grupo es hacer música esencialmente compleja pero que sea, a la vez, entretenida y accessible.

Tienen 2 discos en su haber:

“No Fear” su disco debut es nominado como mejor disco de Jazz en los premios Gardel 2015.

“Mute” el Segundo disco editado en diciembre del 2016, es galardonado album de jazz del año en los premios Gardel 2017

Son invitados en marzo del 2013 para participar del festival de Jazz de Java, Indonesia. En Octubre de 2013 hacen una gira internacional por Noruega. También fueron seleccionados para participar del festival internacional de Jazz del Cairo , Egipto en Marzo 2014.

Participan del Buenos Aires Jazz Fest en 2015 y cierran el festival Blackbird de Vorterix en Bahia Blanca en 2016.
